>By uprooting carbon trapped in soil, wild pigs are releasing around 4.9 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide annually across the globe, the equivalent of 1.1 million cars.

Which, with an estimated 1.4 billion cars, is an insignificant 0.1% of the respective car pollution. And now factor in industrial and consumer pollution, and it's not even a blip on the radar.

Why do they even bring this thing up? We shall start killing animals that produce CO2?

It's just a research, it's just mentally curious to know that wild pigs can produce this volume of co2, no one want to kill animals, we're already killing a lot of them and producing a lot more co2 inside the instensive breedings.

P.S. anyway we should start killing humans, they're producing a lot of co2 =)

What if the wild pigs start building cars? :()
