I'm a fourth-year Data Science student at the University of São Paulo seeking an Internship role (August - December). My course has provided me with a good background on Statistics and CS, with classes such as Deep Learning, Non-Structured Data Mining and Bayesian Statitics. I have had the oppotunity to do a Research Internship in France earilier this year, receiving one of the most prestigious scholarships available in my country, it was about Time Series extrinsic regression for Mobile Health.

My current experience has been as a Machine Learning Intern, creating a MLP, FCN, ResNet and InceptionTime in PyTorch comparing it to a new implementation for a paper yet to be published. Not to mention a few kaggle competitions and a bunch of projects, I have also had some data engineering experience working with ECG data.

The ammount of "startups" creating wrappers around it and calling it a product is going to be a nightmare. But other than that, it's an amazing announcement and I look foward to using it!

You say that like that's not already happened. Every week there's a new flavor of "we're delighted to introduce [totally not a thin wrapper around GPT] for [vaguely useful thing]" posts on HN

Yeah I watched some yc application videos so now YouTube recommends me heaps of them. Most of them being thin gpt wrappers.

I was just hearing about startups doing speech to text/ text to speech to feed into llms. Might be a bad time for them.
