The tank commanders of another, bygone war also had the reputation for attention to detail. Funny how history rhymes.

Now with LLMs, maybe yes to both solutions?

The performance would likely be much better. :-)

An example from a year later; 1990:

Every version of NeXT is actually catalogued and can be run in the browser at: https://infinitemac.org/

I'm pretty sure the CERN WorldWideWeb application is also included in the "bonus software" HDD, but I'm on my phone right now and can't confirm. :-)

Upload the file when you are done, perhaps?

Haha, no, Voice of America can't be as crude.

But it was directed at a different audience. This propaganda direction - inwards, serves another purpose: to remind the listener who's boss, or Daddy, if you will.

Down the road they are taking us, there's rope for everyone. A-plenty.

Even for them, even though they may believe otherwise now. There's no loyalty among thieves.

I laughed out loud. "I found that I loved Big Brother from my youth." Genuinely no offense meant, it was just funny.

I guess more masks but some masks fit better I suppose.

I hate to appear to defend this, but generative AI has sort of collapsed the distinction between a photo and an image. I could generate an image from a photo which told the same story, then delete the photo, and now everything is peachy fine? So that could have been a motivation for "images".

Though I wonder if not existing frameworks around slander and libel could be made to address the brave new world of AI augmented abuse.

Libel is both incredibly expensive (£100k average per case, not eligible for legal aid) and unreliable (can be used to silence true information).

Maybe we should tweak some of those laws, then.

Without regulatory oversight, capitalism doesn't exist. In fact, cannot.

Without regulatory oversight, what evolves[1] is exactly what we have now.

1. At least in our case. And China in its case, and Europe in theirs, and Russia in Russia’s.

Yeah, well, that's incredibly accurate. :)

What I mean is: the current standard is the result of anarchy.

We had anarchy, people decide they could do better, iterated, and came up with this.
