I remember this quote. The context of that quote was actually a reference to OOP and design patterns. He started talking about Nomenclature and referred to OOP Design patterns as just spending time creating taxonomy.
FP wasn't really referenced at all in that quote. FP definetely has it's own vocabulary, but nowhere near as extensive as OOP.
I think thats the point of dream journaling - the dream itself doesn't matter, what matters is how your subconscious mind fills in the blanks to create meaning relevant to your waking life.
Very interesting ideas in this thread:
1. Remembering the dream you were just having re-induces sleep
2. Writing a dream journal first thing every morning as a means of warming up higher levels of cognition (to help break through the morning haze)
3. Given #1 and #2: if you stop journaling, you might end up with a habit that puts you back to sleep in the mornings.
fear of rejection - your manager hasnt made your workplace feel like a safe environment for you, or you havent expressed that you would like more validation. you’ll need to talk with your manager for this.
overly critical and ego driven perspective - how angry do you get at yourself for making mistakes outside of work? meditation and building a softer/less judgemental mind can work through this
lack of confidence in your ability to find another job - study up on interviewing, apply for some companies. create backup options for yourself.
fear of financial stability - like a previous poster said, it helps to have enough savings to weather any financial blips
fear of the unknown - improv classes are great at building confidence in yourself when dealing with unknown unknowns
