My dad had his bladder removed. Cancer came back 18 months later and he was gone 4 months after that. It sucks.

Plus, I regret that he had to live with a colostomy bag for that time. His quality of life probably higher if they do the other option (name escapes me).

Just downgraded to advisory in Hawaii (10:44pm HST)

Seems hard to believe but I want to believe

Why does everyone hire McKinsey? So they keep their job. If you are CEO and go the board with a cost savings plan and layoffs you keep your job. You may not if you say we are going where the puck is. Lifestyle creep probably makes it very hard to envision taking this kind or risk.

Great point. Plus, working on your laptop on a couch is not ideal for deep excel work

Funny you used astronomer as an example today

This is my dream. I started building something that would upload all my photos from my phone to my desktop, back them up somewhere and then present them 6 at a time on a local website solely so you could look at them again and decide if you wanted to keep them. Heart any you wanted to keep, favorite some, and delete the rest then show me 6 more.

The addition of an AI tool is a great idea.

Sounds really great. Good luck

Thank you, appreciate it!

Duolingo made this announcement today about replacing contractors with AI

Those are content creation jobs, not engineering. Which for duolingo is very low quality and repetitive anyway.

Duolingo needs better content, not a faster way of producing the same stuff.

What kind of jobs?
