I'm a a people. I read it. If you call this an unreadable mess I really don't know what to say. Language is awesome, and it's awesome we can create infinitely long sentences with it. And like open source, if you don't like it, write the one you like :)
A long time ago on the myspace forums there was this slightly weird but also very wise and smart person who wrote without any punctuation or paragraphs, ever. Although they were generally liked and part of the community, I think I was the only person who read every single one of their comments in full, religiously, once I realized how insightful they were, and I was richer for it. I could have told them the obvious, how their posts differ from most others on the forums; and they would have posted with less joy and maybe less overall, that would have been it.
While I don't agree with the other poster, that the comment was a mess, sentences were so long, that I had to focus not to lose the point. I think the top comment read a bit too much like stream of consciousness, which as a person I tolerate much more in spoken speech than written one. Still, I liked the comment, but agree it could have been improved.

For me it's the first one every time. If only because LLM don't learn from responses to it (much less so when the response is to a paste of their output). It's just not communication. From that perspective, the quality of even the most brilliant LLM output is zero, because it's (whatever high value) multiplied by zero.
Even a real person saying something really horrible and too dense to learn from any response at least gives me a signal about what humans exist. An LLM doesn't tell me anything, and if wanted the reply of an LLM, I would simply feed my own posts into an LLM. A human doing that "for me" is very creepy and, to my sensibilities, boundary violating. Okay, that may be too strong a word, but it feels gross in a way I can't quite put my finger on, but reject wholeheartedly.

Do they? I would agree that it would be much better to just state the above on the page itself, but not because it makes a practical difference. It probably would make it feel even worse, if that was possible, for people who thinking back on the hardships they and/or others went through in that Covid period.
For saving vertical space, my favorite thing about Firefox is Treestyle Tabs. I edited the CSS to make the font size a bit bigger, but make the padding so small it's slightly negative even (it would be horrible to read text like that, but for tabs it kinda works). Now I can fit ~40 tabs vertically on the screen easily, with very readable tab titles, and I can expand the sidebar at will if I want to see the full length of titles for some reason, or use F1 to toggle it on and off.
Not that this takes away from your point.. but frankly, as long as the browser UI can be customized, the default setup will never matter to me. If this appeals more to non-technical people, more power to them, as long as I can have my power user stuff, too.
