The first that comes in my mind is: he lived 70 years, born and raised in a rich country, he had a lovely family. He had a good life reason to be happy and he should start thinking about others with less luck like him, E.g. children dying to underfeeding, genetics diseases, war, etc.
Agreed, it's not like he would all of sudden have time or resources to solve the aforementioned issues so what would be the use.
Either use your expertise and skills to make as much meaningful impact you can or just take the time off and enjoy what you have left. Both are fine to me.
Hashing is the easy part and because it is not reversible miners waste energy looping and trying different nonces so you get a hash with the required amount of zeros.
For my is just like a brute force password try-loop with a hashing in between. And that is the whole science XD
>Hashing is the easy part and because it is not reversible miners waste energy looping and trying different nonces so you get a hash with the required amount of zeros.
The above is massively computationally expensive, hence why it's not a fallacy.
I disagree, the computational expensive aspect is the fact that you are trying to find the inverse of the double hash.
Hence you are forced to brute force.
If the problem was adjusted where it wasn't using a double hash, and had some simple two-way function than it wouldn't be considered computationally expensive. That is irrespective of the length of the nonce. E.G if it was just a how much do I add to get a nonce of length x.
The complexity here is caused by the double hash.
The length of the nonce is just an even further scaling of an already difficult problem.
look we can discuss a lot about what is expensive. But my comment was about that just a brute force "guessing" loop algorithm in PoW is being sold like a "Computation-intensive Operation" what in my opinion is just a stupid way to waste energy and belongs in the same club of institutions like Bank Industry and Gold Mining that also waste energy. PoS is loot better.
I would like to add to your comment that the stupid algorithm called "mathematical puzzle" is just a brute force loop in order to find the nonce => nonsense waste of energy
Seems that you are not a programmer. Even with Intelligence people can write code (much much simpler and buggy) how can chaos build such a complex thing? Can you answer what was first? information (RNA/DNA) or the first cell?
The title is a bit misleading. Those 3-year-olds are 1.5cm shorter than average growth percentile. It doesn't mention the effect on adolescent height on the same diet, since most adult growth spurt happens on teenager age.
