I still compare prices when I'm about to buy something from Amazon and they are almost always the cheapest still. That's even before considering the 5% rewards the amazon credit card gives me. Maybe you are seeing certain types of merchandise that went up there? Or my purchase habits just happen to line up with their pricing more than yours.

The laws of economics are unbreakable. You have to realize that someone is paying for the shipping and that someone is always the customers. Or at least temporarily, investors.

But another very strong law of economics is that scale reduces costs.

There are other economic principles that apply to shipping specifically. It's a pretty old field.

A last-mile delivery truck goes out full and comes back empty. That's terrible logistics, but the fact that it happens anyway suggests that shipping from your home to a UPS center should be basically free - the marginal cost is nearly 0.

Amazon returns have to go through UPS. If Amazon sends out a lot more stuff through UPS than it receives from UPS, returns might just genuinely be free, occupying what would otherwise be slack in the system.

Yeah, looking at the position, that would pay more than that in Portland. Not sure who is going to do that in NYC.

I find the exact opposite to be most effective with myself and the others I have seen in groups around me. Eat food that is nutrient dense and filling and take out empty carbs and you can succeed at eating less a whole lot easier. And that is when people who have been overweight for a long time succeed in the long term.

With T-mobile I pay $100 (+ ~$8 tax/fees) for 2 smartphones with unlimited everything (data is never cut off or throttled as well). Look into a new plan!

I've been paying $80 + 2 x $10 for 3GB of high-speed data each. After reading this comment, I switched over to unlimited for the same price. Thanks!

That's not true any more. The brakes can be killed remotely with software.

Thanks for posting about the ResMed Swift FX, I use a Mirage Activa, and kind of want to change so I don't have to shave my upper lip everyday. I might try the Swift FX out shortly, my current mask needs replacing.

I will also add for the other poster(s), properly treating sleep apnea is huge for overall health, and helps you feel a lot better everyday. Risk of stroke goes down and a lot of other big health impacts.

oh, dude. Swift FX all the way. I have a friend whose doctor didn't recommend it (probably recommended one like yours) and I practically forced him to push back on his doc and prescribe this one. It's quite a bit of comfort difference.

I'm actually trying to lose a bunch of weight so that I (hopefully) don't have to use a machine at all (although I have a very strong suspicion that I still had this issue back when I was very skinny, I was always a snorer and always had to take mid-afternoon naps) but mostly because I might want to get one of the operations, but they won't do one until I'm back at a "fit" weight.

That's not correct at all. You don't need website hosting to have a domain, and you could use free google apps on any domain you own, without paying for a host.

Happy hour means if you buy a drink, you get cheap food. I don't go to places like that much, but if I do it means I can buy a Coke or whatever and get a $4 plate that would be $8 usually. It is intended for alcoholic drinks, but applies to other drinks as well where I've gone.

I see. Thank you!

I rarely find restaurant food to be a good buy, but I guess if you'd be buying a restaurant Coke anyway...

It will work, Facebook accepted my landline number just fine. There is no need to have an SMS message sent.
