"Iran's defense effort" would be correct. They are defending against American Department of War (former Department of Defense).

> "Iran's defense effort" would be correct

They’re at war. It’s a war effort. Mincing words doesn’t change that. America didn’t wage a defense against Japan after Pearl Harbor, it waged war. War is both offensive and defensive, the original language is fine.

It matters who started the war. The US is waging the war against Iran, the Iran is defending. If you don't make this distinction, a killer and a policemen who shot him are both murderers.

What a delusional paranoid thinking

How? This is 100% the ideology of the Russian foreign policy apparatus.

Just one example that comes to mind: https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2014/05/11/romania-queries-mo...

At least Macron isn't threatening anyone, unlike the muscovites.

>Soviet era mosaics

Which somehow survived Ukrainian nationalists destroying everything Russian or Soviet?

>then Ukrainians will no longer resist destruction of their identity, language

Since 2014 Ukrainian nationalists are busy destroying language and identity of Russian-speaking Ukrainian citizens. Somehow nobody in the West cares.

It can wait. Not spending that money on war means more Russian soldiers dying.

>It really is insane that the West/World watches while Russia fires ballistic missiles and send hundreds of drones targeting civilians.

Because they don't target civilians.

>I guess Ukrainian lives are cheap and worthless to them.

I wish Ukrainians understood that in 2014. Also in 2021 when refusing Putin's pre-war ultimatum and later in 2022 when refusing the peace deal.

Yeah, Fermi was such an unmotivated slacker.

Relayed by Nick Metropolis: Fermi and von Neumann overlapped. They collaborated on problems of Taylor instabilities and they wrote a report. When Fermi went back to Chicago after that work he called in his very close collaborator, namely Herbert Anderson, a young Ph.D. student at Columbia, a collaboration that began from Fermi's very first days at Columbia and lasted up until the very last moment. Herb was an experimental physicist. (If you want to know about Fermi in great detail, you would do well to interview Herbert Anderson.) But, at any rate, when Fermi got back he called in Herb Anderson to his office and he said, "You know, Herb, how much faster I am in thinking than you are. That is how much faster von Neumann is compared to me." [0]

I’m confused to be honest as to your point here

No amount of effort would have made Dr. Anderson think as fast as Fermi and Fermi think as fast as von Neumann

And it didn’t stop Fermi from achieving incredible things so, did it matter all that much? They’re just complementing each other dude

Something stopped Dr. Anderson though. Ah, let me guess, he was a slacker

Well now you’re being obtuse buddy

>When literal Nazis are perceived as the better option you can imagine the alternative isn't very shiny.

Nice story. One problem though: they eagerly joined Nazis in exterminating Jews. The ideology of nationalists aligned quite well, be it German Nazis, Baltic states, Hungarians or Western Ukrainians.

“When you walk by the side of these people you realise they have every human right to feel hatred towards any Russian,’’ she told the AP. “Still, I think it’s important to do even a small action to show them that maybe not all the people are thinking the same way.”

She has been living in Italy for 14 years, doesn't pay taxes to Putin, supports Ukraine, what's not to like?

I mean if you are Ukrainian, there is nothing to hate her for, right?

Wrong.

Here comes Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman feeling offended by her ethnicity:

"The fact that the International Olympic Committee chose a Russian to carry the plaque with the name [of Ukraine] is shameful. It goes beyond any human morality and any principles..."[0]

I hope she learned her lesson about the nature of Ukrainian nationalists.

No, the Ukraine didn't cede anything. They cut water and electricity to Crimea to punish Crimeans and they were building up the army with Western help.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this site is now dumber for having read it.

Care to substantiate your rambling incoherent response?
