> It only means they're doing one thing right: income > expenses. Beyond that, revenue tells us nothing about how they're increasing it.

That would be profit, not revenue. Still, in terms of profit they went from $25M to $4.5B.

Private insurance in Germany only applies to those self-employed or, optionally, those employed who are above a considerable yearly salary threshold. Otherwise, it's public, and the cost depends on your salary.

If you're employed, your company pays for half the insurance cost, be it private or public. This means that it's expensive for self-employed people.

I personally really enjoy my commute. It does take 25 minutes, but I cycle, enjoying the views of parks and multiple gorgeous monuments. It makes me move a bit, as opposed to my usual very very sedentary days when I wfh. I imagine this isn't as frequent in the US, as I live in Germany.

I have actually moved to a team that doesn't do wfh so much anymore because my days were long and boring. Life is much better seeing humans on a day to day basis (and I still have some flexibility for wfh and working from abroad).

That's simply not true. It worked for me with a spanish banking account, and I've used it several times already without anything being shipped to my home. I used the DB app.

A post here recently showcased a website/game where you try to jailbreak the AI in multiple ways. Your post processing strategy would fail if, e. g., you ask it to encrypt the output by repeating every word twice. It's impossible to fully prevent this from happening.

It’s not “impossible”, just NP-hard. You “just” have to prove a structural equivalence (graph isomorphism) between the output and your ruleset.

the post in question: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35905876 (they have allegedly fixed the 429s but I'd have to start over because I closed my browser so I don't know if they're fixed or not)

Neat idea and great execution!

What's wrong with "I did Y" titles? If it's OP who's posting their content, it makes sense to me.

"Check out this unusual thing that I was able to do" is the emphasis rather than "Here is an interview with this person of interest."

I don’t read it that way. Titles like “I did X” are interesting to me because then I know it’ll be a firsthand account. Whereas if it says just what it is it could be more likely that it is instead only talking about the same interview from another source that I had already seen.

I'd rather know upfront that the author is the poster. Full disclosure and all.

Hah my last project reached 6 stars and I'm still proud as fuck

They've made sure they can't be knocked over though

The Play Store only charges you $25 when you register, $100 a year is for Apple
