Top priorities 1. Nourish my body back to full health. Got Vit D and B12 deficiencies and minor exercise related injuries, put on a few extra kgs of fat in the abdomen area. 2. Nourish my mind back to full health. I overworked myself during the pandemic without a good balance and badly burnt myself out. 3. Explore the world with spouse. Find a place to stay that has good environmental chars (air quality, water etc.).

Next 1. Complete my journey of learning to code by building and launching 1-2 simple apps in the year. 2. Build a few new businesses that run with low maintenance effort in software, content or a combination.

Just an appreciation post after looking at your blog and all the various things you've built and achieved. You're the kind of person that keeps me motivated to learn everyday so thank you for sharing.

Perhaps Proton ecosystem is a viable alternative?

I jokingly tell my friends that i want to start a phone company.

It'll just sell one phone.

aPhone.

It's, a phone.

Not aPhone 1, aPhone 2. That's not minimalist.

Just aPhone, 2022 edition. And so on.

It's aPhone for people who like regular sized phones. 5.8" display max, 3-4ths of the way to flagship specs, a $500 ish price tag.

Pair it with near stock Android with minor adjustments only, and i really think the aPhone could be a hit and help build a (not a billion-dollar) multi-million dollar company.

So the aPhone 2022 then?

Using the Pixel 4a. Basically the perfect form factor and size. I'd upgrade every 2-3 years to a new version of the same phone with minor updates like the chipset etc.

Dreading the day I'll have to start searching for a replacement :(

The Pixel 3a (my current phone) has a 5.6" screen, the 4a has a 5.8" screen and the Pixel 5 has a 6" screen. However, they're all approximately the same physical size, it's just the bezels that got smaller.

The 4a is actually a smidge smaller than the 3a. Much easier to handle, IMO, though not quite ideal.

Your point about bezels getting smaller is very true for the phones you mentioned. But you also left out the Pixel 4a 5G, the Pixel 5a, the Pixel 6, the Pixel 6 Pro, and the Pixel 6a. Which all ballooned massively in physical size relative to their predecessors.

Same... Used the Pixel 2 before that. Probably will buy a spare 4a on ebay soon.

Can confirm had the same issue. Begged someone in their team for 2 weeks to help until they did.

I haven't been active much recently on account of having burnt myself out during the pandemic years with work and writing. But here are some of my favourite pages:

Hey OP, I'd highly recommend adding info product to your list of ways in which you could earn a few hundred dollars online.

I run both apps and info products. For earning a few hundred, info products are infinitely easier, usually take a one-time upfront effort and have little to no maintenance, bugs etc. to fix.

In your case, an info product could be a short course on a very specific skill that you have, maybe related to coding.

For example, I created this course called Learn Programmatic SEO[1]. Created it in Feb 2021 and after the initial launch high, earnings stabilized to around ~$500/mo. I haven't put any more effort or time into it since launch except reply to 3-4 doubt emails a month.

This year, I'm putting in a little more effort (equivalent of 4-6 hrs/month) in order to double earnings to $1000/mo by end of 2022.

What kind of marketing did you do? Or just SEO on your own product haha

Huge congrats on your success!

I'm really curious to know what happened between $10k MRR and $1mn ARR. That growth happened in a span of 1 year which is just amazing.

Any pointers for others who are at a similar phase of their business looking to grow from 10k->83k MRR in a short span?

Always curious about book recommendation sites. If you don't mind sharing, how much revenue and traffic does your site generate?

Love your focus and commitment, especially the 2 hours a day every weekday for nine months streak.

I'm going to try building a similar discipline with my side projects. Not much would get done in 1 day obviously, but the amount of things that can get done over a longer timeframe like 6-12 months is huge!

Thank you and wish you the best!

Cheers!

Especially worth noting how things can snowball after several months of consistent shipping.

You're not just starting from scratch every two hours, you've already got work to build on top of, to keep you growing.
