I'm a contract (1099) full-stack web application developer with over 20 years experience and work with many medium-sized companies. My latest project is a custom order and production management system for a print-on-demand company in Los Angeles which took over a year to build (it's extremely complex). It handles thousands of orders per day across multiple factories and used by hundreds of employees and manages over 100 different product types each with unique graphical requirements.

I work mainly with PHP/MariaDB/Laravel/ProcessWire and I am experienced in all areas of development including developing REST APIs, system administration and much more.

I've been an independent contractor for 20 years and have also developed and run an ecommerce website in the computer hardware space from 2016-2022.

I specialize in the following:

- Bespoke ecommerce websites (especially those with complex product-types)

- Order management systems: I've spent the last 1.5 years creating a custom order and production system for a large print-on-demand fulfiller. It handles everything from order intake via a REST API, creation of gang-sheets and special layouts across a variety of products, shipment and much more.

- Complex CMS websites for large organizations

I often use the following technologies: ProcessWire, Laravel, Rails, Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, HTMX

I'm working on an order and production management system for a company that fulfills orders for print-on-demand ecommerce sites. It handles things like graphics manipulation, imposition layouts (gang sheets), cutlines, printing, order batching and tracking during the production and fulfillment stages (barcodes) and everything necessary from what an order is received via API to when it is shipped.

I've used XYplorer daily since 2008. It's a fantastic piece of software and updated all the time. Wish there were something comparable in Linux.

+999 for ProcessWire. It's my CMS of choice for 10 years straight and is actually a pretty good platform for web applications as well (with some limitations compared to something like Rails or Laravel since configuration is stored in the database).

I made this 36-part video series comparing WordPress to ProcessWire which I recorded on-and-off between 2014-2018 and released it that year. Although that was a while ago, it's still mostly accurate since both systems are mature and haven't changed drastically in that time (this is before Gutenberg): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOrdUWNK38ibz8U_5Vq4z...

Also worth a read: https://processwire.com/about/wordpress-vs-processwire/

For the JS devs, ProcessWire has a similar approach to Payload CMS from what I've seen (although ProcessWire dates back to 2003 and open-sourced in ~2010/11).

Best CMS ever. :)

Throwing my recommendation for ProcessWire CMS. I switched to it 10 years ago and made a YouTube series around that time that compares it to WordPress. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOrdUWNK38ibz8U_5Vq4z...

ProcessWire CMS. Developer oriented but amazing for clients once set up. Been using it for 10 years straight.

SEEKING WORK | Remote Only | Los Angeles, CA I am an independent web developer (since 2005) that specializes in complex CMS-based websites (ProcessWire / Drupal / WordPress) and bespoke ecommerce where end-clients need to be able to effortlessly manage the content. I do a lot of website re-development (ie, sites that have fallen into disrepair and need a fresh start with existing data). HTMX, Alpine.js, Hyperscript, Tailwind CSS are some of my favorite tools.
