There is an interesting Twitter thread about how this process worked in a UK bank, although their turnaround was about 4 days

I was also intrigued, it seems like you select the specific type of the herpes virus you have, and meet a partner who carries the same disease.

Since these viruses are carried for life I suppose it prevents the fear of spreading it to a partner that doesn’t have it.

There also actually seems to be several sites in the exact same niche which was surprising to me, when searching for the name of the site I got ads for 4 competing sites.

I get the same error in Firefox but it works in Chrome

edit: It also works if you disable Enhanced Tracking Protection in FF

I think they mean searching using a search engine but appending reddit to the query.

For example if I search “best vpn” I’ll get loads of VPN review blog spam who are just pushing the provider with the highest affiliate commission.

If I search “best vpn reddit” I should get discussion from real people about services they have used.

I was in Vietnam last month and bbc.com is blocked by the ISPs. The article also mentions China and Iran.

BBC is publicly funded and unlikely to be banned in the UK but they provide global news coverage.

And this software bug that requires the plane to be turned off and on again every 248 days to prevent an integer overflow and loss of power.

Why can’t the parents set the account up with no credit card and top the account up with gift cards that you can buy online and in most supermarkets?

I set up my brothers’ account like this and he used it until he was around 14/15 and old enough to know the consequences of spending all your money. Then we linked it up to _his_ debit card. We allowed for something like £10 a month on the App Store, and about £100 a year on the Xbox store with the gift card method.

The limit of the budget taught him not to spend all his money at once or he would have none left. But a lot of parents seem to think these companies should do the parenting for them because they can’t be bothered.
