I built this because I was tired of Googling simple tasks like "remove background from video" or "convert heic to jpg" and getting 10 "Top 10 Tools" blog posts full of affiliate links and SEO fluff.
SiteFinder is a natural language search engine for web tools. You describe the problem (e.g., "compress 4GB video to 10MB without losing quality"), and it uses AI (Gemini) to find the specific tool that solves it, returning structured data instead of blue links.
It filters for constraints like:
Pricing (Strictly Free vs Freemium)
Sign-up requirements
Watermarks/Limits
It’s a simple React wrapper around the Gemini API deployed on Vercel. No login required to try.
I’d love to know if the results are accurate for your specific edge cases.
I just gave it a quick search (using the placeholder suggestions) and personally it is too "clicky" and "type-y" for me.
Not hating on the AI aspect, more so on the UX.
I would just rather scroll and search on spotify.
For example, even after searching and seeing the results, at the bottom it says:
"Not quite right? Try adding more specific details like "slower tempo" or "more bass"."
Instead of asking users to go back and add text to the search, you could include "slower tempo" & "more bass" as buttons or checkboxes to make it easier on me and users alike. Less navigation, less keyboard work, faster results.
Not sure if this is production ready as the links to pricing doesn't lead me anywhere...nor the features or artists links...
This is the feedback I want. I added one-tap modifiers, quick start chips, and removed unnecessary items from the footer. Of course, I will add more later.
What I meant was CA created those "what kid of biscuit are you" type quizzes on Facebook after Eric Schmitt's daughther told a guy at CA that's how Google's spin off team did it for Obama in 2012. But that's (D)ifferent.
"Hey! scan your face and find your twin" has the same vibes
> Barack Obama's re-election team are building a vast digital data operation that for the first time combines a unified database on millions of Americans with the power of Facebook to target individual voters to a degree never achieved before. [0]
