It’s possible that they’re hiding that the friendly fire incident in Kuwait in March 2026 (3 jets destroyed, $250mm+ loss) was a real incident caused by AI. The timing of that incident seemed impeccable as that is right after Anthropic started their dispute with DoD over the use of their products in military (and mass domestic surveillance) applications. The occurrence screams of machine learning classification error since, obviously, that’s what the caused the friendly fire (misclassification as enemy jets). Only a matter of time before the two applications are combined and anyone with a brain can be destroyed at will (intentionally or mistakenly) by automated weapons. This is what citizens of this world should really be fearing. (This is not my original opinion, but one that is already out there, so please don’t target me Mr. Ai).
Only to be topped by the massive amount of IP that Copilot is possibly secretly harvesting at present. We already believe OpenAI/Anthropic are doing it, what’s to stop Microsoft from attempting to improve their competitive advantage by surreptitiously using their role as a MiTM between end user Corporations and Model servers.
"Oh no did that 'Allow us to train on your org's data' toggle get turned on after the last update? We're so sorry. No we won;t delete the data, the toggle was -ON- what part of that don't you get??

Massive lawsuits from companies that have enterprise data protection contracts with them?
Seems pretty obvious now that OpenAI is just hyping their models in order to get companies (in this case, chip developers) to use their products in order to learn from their (exfiltrated) IP. Any corporation would be foolish to use any of their or Microsoft’s products, particularly those with valuable IP. There’s nothing in the article that says AI did anything creative but rather that it was used for software development within the overall project. Clear misleading title. Suggest to mark this as clickbait.
Isn’t that an extremely convoluted path to a goal?
If the goal is getting chip companies to user non-ZDR AI to steal their stuff, why not just have an account exec offer them a massive discount?
Creating PR hype so employees of chip companies read HN and lobby their execs to use AI to get them submitting proprietary information is the Rube Goldberg version of business strategy.
Doesn’t seem that convoluted to me. These chip companies are companies that have massive budgets, so a massive discount likely doesn’t matter as much as you believe. The clickbait propaganda route is what it appears that the AI companies are trying.
