Love it, just ordered two of the flashback models! To me, the killer feature is the whitelist for incoming and outgoing calls. Is anyone aware of a VoIP provider that offers this? Ooma has a contacts-only calling feature, but 1) only on their Premier plan that costs $10/month plus taxes and fees, and 2) it’s not clear that it also restricts outgoing calls. I have not found any such feature listed for Vonage or Verizon’s digital voice, to name a few.
Agreed, largely because I find I'm able to efficiently use small amounts of extra time, but struggle to make productive use of an entire free day. Even working 30m or an hour less is enough to squeeze in a workout and some Anki reviews. I'm also hourly, so I can't help but assess whether the things I chose to do during that time were "worth it" compared to the compensation I missed out on.
I've been very impressed with the volume of quality shows for kids (mine are four and two) from different studios: PBS Kids -- Daniel Tiger (based on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood), Peg + Cat -- Amazon Prime: Tumble Leaf, Stinky and Dirty -- Hulu: Curious George -- Disney+: Bluey (I enjoy watching this one myself). Common Sense Media has also been helpful to find quality shows. I'd never choose TV as an educational tool over screenless options, but for those times when you need to have your kids occupied, there's good stuff out there and not all screen time is equal.
