Weirdly enough, Alt+Spacebar, then clicking close only closes the window (minimizing to the tray), but just hitting Alt+F4 kills the process.

You mean for Discord I assume? That is strange indeed - though of course Windows has always allowed apps to modify any kind of behavior they want (for better and for worse).

How should the person on the phone verify your identity if not by your drivers license or similiar ID?

How does reducing emissions not reduce (future) warming? It doesn't revert warming, but that's not being stated here afaict.

They might just truncate the password during login as well. I was able to login to my online banking using only the first five digits of my password not more than 3 years ago.. They fixed it in the meantime but I'm still worried.

You should still be worried, since any bank storing an unhashed password clearly has security fail.

If all my friends jumped off a bridge they must've had a really good reason to, so yes I might as well.

Same logic applies here. Just maybe, if everyone does it, we should consider it too.

At the end of the article it says:

"SQLite is much faster than direct writes to disk on Windows when anti-virus protection is turned on. Since anti-virus software is and should be on by default in Windows, that means that SQLite is generally much faster than direct disk writes on Windows. "

This is a key point. Windows is starting up the anti-virus program and scanning every tiny file as it is written. This is less about NTFS being slow and more about anti-virus being considered a required overhead on Windows.

Then they're home at 4pm and get a whole 4 hours for homework, recreational activities and relaxing.

Amount of free time is orthogonal to start time. That's controlled by the length of their school day; not when they start.

I went to a festival in recent years with Justice closing saturday night and can absolutely attest to this.

Is there a readymade docker install ?

There's no point installing it as you can't use it. It's just provided for transparency. Not to run a home server like with matrix.

I find it hard to believe that all stores combined patch a single gigabyte in a week, let alone every store patching multiple gigabytes. The size of the stores and their patches are negligible compared to installing any modern game.
