Just 10, it feels like more.

Well said.

I'd say the ability to take complicated definitions and to not have to through a rigorous definition every time the ideas are referenced are, in a sense a form of abstraction, and a necessary requirement to be able to do advanced Math in the first place.

It could benefit them if they remained an AI free or a NOT AI first alternative once enshitification has really taken hold with AI.

Same in Canada. Super bright LEDs. Every morning. What's weird is that almost every one uses them, and almost everyone complains about other people using them. Seems as weird as tourists complaining about other tourists.

I personally don't use them. So I just get to observe.

At first I thought it was a bit tragic how Apple kinda fumbled AI. Now I think maybe they might have an edge if they were to be one of the only big companies not trying to push it into their products. Especially MacOS.

My fave sticker:

"Data In the Streets"

"Riker In the Sheets"

lol.

Yep. For the first time I'm really considering Linux as a personal / desktop OS. Currently I just use it for servers. But now for the first time I don't think I have much to lose by leaving the Apple ecosystem.

If they ever stopped making Macs guess I'd start using Linux other than just for servers.

Framework desktop incoming here. (mac/iPad/i)OS 26 tipped me over the edge. Eyeing whether 7 years of GrapheneOS on a pixel will suffice as well..

Good luck. I went the other way on the laptop desktop side (I was always an iPhone guy throughout it all). I’m super happy. I won’t go back.

One would hope that before ceasing to make the hardware that they open it up and actually allow you to install other OSes
