Obama and Clinton both were not at the top of the party apparatus at the time of their first runs. Compare to Gore, Harris, and the other Clinton in 2016. I think the DNC clearly needs to step back and let the party make its own choice.

Do you... Do you think the dnc is not the party? How do you think primary elections work? Harris is a fair exception to that, as there was ni primary, otherwise this is just confusing.

Not to mention speed limits. Around here almost all traffic exceeds the speed limit, yet plenty of drivers still complain about pedestrians not adhering to the rules.

Also Aker in Philadelphia. US law requires ships in domestic trade to be built in the US so there is a market for new builds.

I bet a transit system can save a lot of money by eliminating the overhead costs of fare collection.

At one point, I've read, fare collection on toll roads used to chew up about 50% of the money paid. In general these days, payment for transit and roads is largely automated and self-service. It's not free to collect but I'm sure the economics have changed.

If your fare collection is really bad that is true. However collecting fares in a way that isn't very costly is not that difficult/expensive and so most transit agencies are making a nice amount of money from their fare collection.

Well the fed already has the money which was used to purchase the bonds that they’re are now lending against. So I think that this amounts to giving some of that bond principal back early but slightly less in total in the form of interest on the loan.
