Empress Sato!!

It's not just the war aspect that makes this un-viable. It's the failure modes, several of which include the destruction of life on earth.

Does anyone think that our whole economic meta-model might be overcome by 3D printing, permaculture and sufficiently efficient solar, etc.? (combined with sufficiently efficient energy use.) Has anyone read Clifford Simaks' City? There are technologies that automatically accrue the power to live in the other direction, or at least more widely and uniformly. Perhaps it's time to focus on those. We can have a economy in which the true currency is only ideas. And the money economy is only for luxuries. And in which we are all a lot more free.

The robot demo was nice but it took out the browser.. visually scrambled everything.

Maybe needs a warning label for slightly older systems.

Could the 'easterners' point be the avoidance of reification and the limitation and mental trapping that involves? For example, we say we see a tornado. But there is no essence of the tornado, no 'thing' there.. it is a perceptual grouping of a set and series of events. Nevertheless, functionally there very much is a tornado. 'It' has its conditions, states, and results. (But there is only the wind...) (And in some visions of physics, this goes all the way down to the vacuum.) Renaming for clarity of action is useful, but no new substances are generated by the act. (One doesn't have to think in terms of the objects in someone else's code nor in terms of the lumped matter discipline.) So if one can think outside of the perceptually given externally, how much more so might it be useful to do so in relation to internals, i.e. 'my anger'.

I wonder what the effect would be of running a separate app that culled names from a school and having a drop down or something beside the name (and possibly statements) where others could log or checkmark statements such as "I didn't write this"; "I know this is not true"; "I support this person". For a high school age person a little support might mean a lot.

"Truth and Reconciliation: Know Who Your Friends Are" ... a long name for an app..
