Magnesium helps me sleep soundly trough the whole night. Forgot to take it yesterday and today woke up in early morning and couldn't fall back to sleep.
Was a stoner from age 15 to 25 (first joint at 12-13), I started smoking less and less at 25 and have recently just totally stopped in my early 30s (I might take a puff here and there once in while socially, but even then). Most of my friends were also stoners, some still are. I cannot stress this enough, if you get high EVERY day or EVERY other day from 15 to 25 it really does something to your motivation in life.
I still struggle with motivational problems (ADHDish issues), but I think I've been lucky. I have friends that will probably never achieve anything meaningful in life and that is despite having had access to the best education available (private schools), parents that were MORE than okay, welp being privileged you know... Now some of them cannot stand normalcy (i.e.: working).
There is a world of difference between starting weed when you're 25 and smoking a little bit VS getting HIGH almost everyday from 13-15 onwards.
When we were young we convinced ourselves that weed was not dangerous at all...fools.

I agree, sometimes I feel like I should become an electrician. When I have to do manual work, I do manual work. When I have to code...it can go in many directions.

I've been reading Stoic philosophers for some time now and it has helped me a lot. Christianity seems to take a lot from them and adds a mythical spin.
I think the biggest issue with religion stems from the fact that many people fail to understand religious texts are not factual they are metaphorical. Unfortunately, throughout history (and still today) this misunderstanding has been used and led to an incalculable number of heinous crimes.
I would consider it but it would have to be very repeatable and well defined and at that point, why haven’t I automated it? The posited Agency of One sounds pretty much like a beginning-stage SaaS while you’re doing things on pen and paper or a spreadsheet until you’ve figured out what you need to actually build.
Otherwise, that seems like a fast track ticket to burning out. Retainer model and selling bundles of hours is going to keep your client incentivised to not waste your time.
My hot reload JS dev server crashes on my M1 16GB between 1 to 7 times a week. This has never happened on my Windows 10 desktop machine (16GB too) with the same code base. My M1 is still ~15% faster though.
