Fun fact: this is one of the common Snapchat "hidden features", you can select all and auto play by tapping the "circle of triangles" stories icon in the stories screen. If you check stories fairly often it's a great feature.

We did this as a class assignment in undergrad, definitely one of the most useful projects in college.

Fun fact: these two are married and the cutest couple. They walk to Rice's Coffeehouse almost daily together talking about whatever it is compiler professors talk about.

This is an inaccurate headline. The context around the pictured Terms of Service is:

> Uber may, in Uber's sole discretion, permit you from time to time to submit, upload, publish or otherwise make available to Uber through the Services textual, audio, and/or visual content and information, including commentary and feedback related to the Services, initiation of support requests, and submission of entries for competitions and promotions ("User Content").

It isn't giving an irrevocable license to use your account data (i.e. location data, payment, etc.), but data submitted that falls under the User Content category above. And they actually limit it to three categories feedback, support requests, and contests/promotions.

It's pretty obvious that he knows about most of the plaintext formats. From what I can gather, the premise is that TeX-based writing is almost as distracting as a doc based system, and markdown simplifies that, especially in his domain (history).

I've heard great things about Two Sigma, they sell themselves as having a very academic environment (lots of PhDs, tech talks, etc.).

I started there a few months back having just finished graduate school. I wouldn't call it 1:1 with graduate school. I like it far better, and I enjoyed graduate school.

Can you share what interviews are like for positions like data analysis or data visualization? Algorithm heavy? Will studying for a Google-style interview leave me adequately prepped?

Wow, thanks for that. I had not heard of them. They even have positions advertised in my area of expertise (which is not even directly related to finance).

I'm a huge fan of Anonymous Pro... If you want to compare with something else.
