The people who trust bad information from LLMs are the same people who trusted bad information from search results and new articles, it just takes them less time to get bad information.

I quipped that it is 'customary' based only on a few previous instances I noticed on HN. They drew my attention because with ME issues, I feel like most takes here (including my own) are based on received ideas, rather than first-hand experience.
That is true but that’s often how these things go, you pull together a coalition of factions to overthrow the existing elites and then afterwards it devolves into infighting
If Iran is unhappy with their government, they can deal with it. It is not a US problem in the slightest. Going to war with another country puts Americans at risk.

If Tehran contented itself with oppressing its own, it probably wouldn't garner too much attention. The problem is its regional proxies constantly causing a mess. It lacks anyone willing to come to its aid right now in large part because of that foreign policy.
