Thank you!

Yeah, the very first announcement is something that android has been able to do since... 2012? Surprising. I'd love to see the apple marketing persona info on who watches these.

Same behavior for me, I assume that they're going to let the thing play out and then you'll be able to replay once the event finishes. Not sure why this has changed from other livestreams.

About me:

I worked at Cisco Systems and AppDynamics (post acquisition) for 12 years doing keynote demo creation (both more fictional, lower stakes and high stakes, real live prototype Webex hardware and software), sales enablement program management, and general IT program management. I think my ideal company would be one that is moving quickly but needs more help listening in, building good communication streams across their teams, and getting people unstuck.

Lately I've been freelancing doing presentation design for data analytics projects, and would be happy to either just crunch your numbers or to take some sort of question you have for your business and ask questions until we can find repeatable easy ways to track what your business needs to grow. I would also be ecstatic to join an engineering team where I can use my years of experience building and honing products and get more experience playing Product Owner on a scrum team.

Marie Kondo (Konmari) had a bestseller in the NYTimes called "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" in... 2010. Wow, I can't believe her book came out that long ago! Lots of useful fun ways to do things in there, which aren't as obvious to non-Japanese people because many of them stem from Japanese cultural values.

It came out so long ago that she has now had a family and given up on trying to keep things neat and tidy!

Aren't those supposed to be a quarter pound before cooking?

When did Cold Take start? I only just found it through recommendations in the last few months and absolutely love the whole vibe that Frost has captured.

It will have been exactly 1 year tomorrow.

I remember that video with the sponsor in the middle of it, and if I remember correctly showed Yahtzee's active disdain for it because he alluded to it before the sponsor bit, showing that he knew that it would interrupt the content that he was powerless to change it.

I'll have to follow Yahtzee and Frost wherever they go.

Seems like they’re all balding together and starting something new called Second Wind.

>@everyone I'm very excited to announce that name of our new adventure, Second Wind.

The ENTIRE Escapist video team is coming with.

<@233002118808600577> and I will be live on the channel tomorrow at 11 AM CT to discuss our plans, talk about what happened, where to support and when our first videos will drop.

Man, WSJ lets me down again.

I've been following Julien Miquel for most of this year. Not _actually_ following him, but occasionally checking out how his youtube channel has progressed. It started with my gf showing me one of his videos for a word that I had never even heard of. What struck me at first was how inadvertently sensual he had made that specific video. And then, how in a 30 second video he butchered incredibly common pronunciations of "this" (thaaas) and "word" (werd).

Not that it's a problem. I'm in awe of his ability to chunk up and produce so many videos. He's found a niche and is filling it. I wonder if it actually pays him that much. I'm not sure, since most videos have only tens of views.

He does troll pronunciations too, like for the word "XXXXXXXXXXX", where he just says the letter X over and over. Maybe that was a test video.

I'm so in awe of him and I was hoping to learn more, and this article doesn't actually contact him or interview him or anything. What a tease! And they even get the lead wrong. Do people _choose_ Julien Miquel? Or has he SEO'd his way into the top of google results? I argue the latter. To this day, I would not choose Julien's choice of how to pronounce any English word. I might let him be a part of many different informed options..

I recently saw the website on here for YouGlish. That's the same niche, solved so much better.

But for now, Julien Miquel is probably my favorite 2023 performance artist, whether he's trying to or not.
