If you search this HN comments page, you'll find 3-4 other people claiming the same thing. This article is an insult to news reporting.

Yes, I was very confused by the title as well. The introduction briefly talks about "changing the way site identity is presented" but after that it talks about just flagging suspicious URLs. Nothing in there about actually "killing" them.
