I've worked im automotive in similar fields, even more advanced, and Tesla is not an outlier, probably even better than the rest. Tesla has a huge advantage in its flat modern management structure. They are at least 10x faster and cheaper than the rest. The results are visible to everyone. Bad midmgmt apples are everywhere, esp. in those kind of industries.
