Wow, I was getting a little nervous Obama might be a one-term president, but I think that without a doubt he will be reelected now--healthcare reform, his contrast to the Tea party, and handling of the recovery from the financial meltdown.
I'm sure Qaddafi is freaked out right now. His son and grandkids, and now Osama. If they got Osama, Qaddafi doesn't have a chance.
Edit: I can't sleep! So optimistic now, I bet the stock market goes up a few hundred points tomorrow also.
Don't be so sure. I think he has a good chance, but there is still inflation worries, the housing market in a double dip, and an unusually high unemployment rate. I'd say it'll take some work to survive even a weak republican candidate. 1.5 trillion dollar deficit does not help things either.
A month from now this won't be a factor in the polls at all. In fact, as time goes on and the Homeland Security apparatus is not dismantled, this will factor in negatively for him.
Not taking a side, just stating what I believe will happen.

Yeah right, the Patriot Act extension passed with little protest and republicans will never allow us to cut back on militarization. I would love what you're saying to be true, but people are just not that smart.
Yeah you're right the Dow hasn't rose from 6,600 to 12,000, unemployment hasn't gone down, and nothing has gotten better. Thanks for letting your obvious partisanship show, I don't think Obama isn't without flaw (I would have liked him to press for more progressive health insurance reform), but the facts are facts and he's done a good job--much better than Bush who got us into this mess.
Now can we enjoy the day? Oh and thanks for your downvotes nhangen.
Someone sounds bitter. I'm simply saying that from my view, things aren't better at all. In fact, they are worse.
I've never known so many people that are either unemployed or underemployed, gas prices are higher than ever, and interest rates are going up. Inflation is out of control too.
The Dow is just a ruse, and really has nothing to do with the state of the average working class American.
Obvious partisanship? Pot meet kettle.
I can't downvote you on this comment, and I wouldn't save for the last remark. Perhaps you should re-consider your approach.
Your first comment is obviously bitter. Why aren't you happy OBL is dead?

How is this Obama's fault? He was handed a shit economy from Bush and has done as good of a job as can be expected having to deal with republicans who won't even vote to remove tax breaks for oil companies as they make record profits.
Reread my comment I said I think Obama will be reelected for those reasons not that I even believe them myself--Obama's economic advisors told him to ask for 3x the amount he asked for from Congress for the recovery package, and he only got 2/3 of what he asked for, so Obama isn't without fault, but he's done a good job cleaning house after Bush.
I plan on enjoying today and I think Obama deserves some due praise for this.
