There's a lot of honesty here. It's so nice to read something written without regards to upsetting delicate people or stepping on proverbial toes.
There's a big problem with fandom which prevents many proponents of an OS from hearing any criticism. The GNU/Linux world is full of that. If you don't have the latest, fanciest, most popular whatever, or if you're not spending tons of money, people will be jerks, and the people who actually get things done don't care about others being jerks. There, of course, are good communities, but stereotypes exist because of what's most common.
