This is important. This isn’t referring to vaccinated adults, but adults with at least one shot. Only 60% of those adults are fully vaccinated [1], and the official messaging is that you need to wait two weeks after your second shot to be protected.
Let’s assume that 50% of adults with at least one shot are two weeks after their second shot. Let’s also assume that all 29% are in that group.
With that context, these results look more reasonable. It’s still surprising that only 58% of protected adults believe that they are protected, but they’ve weakened their argument significantly by misreporting the data.
