Might be slightly tangential to all of this, but what is the distinction between activism and journalism?

Based on the various threads I've seen about this today, I think it would be fair to say there are more than one reasonable interpretations of what this leak tells us about our tax code. But the article has a clear, singular perspective. And while I don't think we should return to fairness doctrine, it does seem to me that activism and journalism ought to be two different things, with some space in-between.
