How painful was this to make?

I've tried to create even simple landing pages in Webflow and my god is it finicky and slow to drag and drop elements, change their properties, etc. By the time I've create the basic design, I'm exhausted and demotivated to use Webflow for anything serious.

What am I missing?

Couldn't agree more. There are many interactions in how layout is calculated that become frustrating. I'm back to Hugo and CSS

My #1 is when you forget to change the current screen size, make a change, and now you have to hunt down why one screen resolution has one color and the smaller ones have a different.

It's definitely bloated and not suitable for any mildly complex websites. All "low-code" tools ends up that way it seems. My hunch is that the disconnect with developers reduces the market (of companies) which can use this and it ends up being citizen devs as the primary user.

Hey Man, I guess you miss a lot of patience to learn and understand the basics. Webflow is one of the powerfull tool to build static sites and landing pages with super animations. Its super easy to use when you know what you have to do.

Coding them usually takes time and stress, Webflow does those jobs in hours. If you have any doubts please feel free to reach out to me.

Another FUn fact : Windows 11 clone took only 5 Hours for me.
