Epistemic AI is looking for a self-starting and emotionally intelligent Business Development Executive to expand the company’s client base in the biomedical research field. *Responsibilities*
- Take ownership of the sales process from start to finish: prospecting, cold calling / outreach, pipeline management, lead product demonstrations, and contract negotiations
- Maintain new client relationships to address needs and gauge product feedback, leveraging technical and scientific team members’ expertise
- Devise community engagement and marketing strategies to generate and nurture leads
- Help direct and create marketing materials needed in the sales process
- Take part in hiring of future sales team members
*Qualifications*
- 5+ years of experience in direct sales to the life sciences or medical markets (ideally experienced with selling SaaS, but will also consider other pharma and medical device sales)
- Preferably a B.S. degree in a relevant life science discipline (e.g. biotechnology, biochemistry, biology preferred)
- Proactive mindset / “hunter” mentality with strong sense of responsibility, accountability ownership. Should be results oriented and able to operate effectively working in a virtual environment (home-based work)
- Excellent communication skills: writing emails (internal/external), speaking on the phone, presenting in person with gravitas
- Ability to work with CRM and MS applications
