I've been open to a co-founder for about a year now -- really, since going full-time back in 2020. I'm looking for that Fathom Analytics duo dynamic, but I just haven't found the right fit yet. I *think* I'm looking for a co-founder with a larger focus on marketing/sales, but maybe I'd get along better with another technical founder that wants to do both of those with me. I currently do everything: dev, design, marketing, and sales, which I think is holding back "what could be." Ok, ok -- I'll stop rambling -- feel free to slip into my DMs (email).
My suggestion is to find someone who compliments what you are doing. It is nice to have another technical founder to discuss ideas etc but focus on your pain point which could be sales/marketing. You can always hire more devs/technical resources later on once you grow further. If you are technical enough, find the non technical partner which should almost always be sales/marketing in early days.
