When will Microsoft learn? – Windows 11 Privacy Preview (lbry.com)

"When will Microsoft learn?" If anything, they've already learned: from Apple, Google, Facebook and others. They learned that our data are valuable, that we can be tracked and spied on without any consequences, that they can process all our documents, photos and so on at will, that any "public outcry" doesn't mean anything because most people don't care and the ones who care don't have that much choice.

They would started to care if they saw a massive migration towards Linux/BSDs because of privacy issues - but it hasn't happened now, and I doubt it will ever do, because of the combination of valid reasons (missing apps, factual or perceived usability issues etc.) and inertia.
