The best gifts are the ones that you can't consume / eat / drink. So some object that every-time I look at it, it reminds me of the person who bought it for me.

I see it the other way round. I don't want material gifts, but rather something I can experience or consume. I simply don't like owning many physical things.

Same, the best Xmas gifts are food and drink IMO.
