Hey,
i am Jan a Fullstack developer, with experience in Machine Learning and team leading.
Halfway during my Studies (Master in AI/ML) i co-founded a company and have done contract work for customers for several years since then.
Running a small company required me develop many different soft and hard skills rapidly.
By now i have experience and confidence in consulting, customer/user contact and extracting relevant knowledge from domain experts.
Then of course technical skills, involving webdev (front and backend), deployment,, dataset creation, implementing and training large ML models.
I maintained our own server for machine learning and self hosted all our own services.
I have some ui/ux experience, sufficient to build clean intuitive interfaces, but also worked with ui/ux Designers on more complicated applications.
I also enjoy putting on the data scientist hat, learning about domain specific data, what information it actually contains and how we can use it to achieve the wanted outcomes.
Just before corona started, we finished all ongoing projects and faded out working with customers, as all cofounders decided to focus on different things.
For roughly 1.5 years i was part of a EU funded project to build a process management tool for hospitals, which involved over 10 persons.
Here i was developing only between 50-75% of the time (fullstack, clojure/clojurescript and react with fulcro) and instead lead the development team and doubled as product owner.
So traveling to hospitals, talking and working with doctors, coordinating with the business/marketing team etc. were also on my list of responsibilities.
We sadly had to realize that we did not have the breath and funds to bring this project to fruition, especially as Covid made everything much slower and incredibly difficult within the healthcare sector.
As a side project over the last 1.5 years i built an AI-Art webshop, involving crawling the web, labeling data, training and deploying several large models, building a website for users to interact with the models, and connecting to external APIs for printing/payment.
As a developer i like solving problems with a good team, using practical solutions and i like being challenged and learning new things.
If it fits my skillset i could be interested in a leadership/product owner role aswell.
I am open to both employment or freelance if the work is interesting.
