He found that Comcast (consumer-grade Internet) in his neighborhood was actually able to keep Internet service running for a little over 24 hours. His generator evidently outlasted Comcast's generator and he lost Internet on the second day.
I'd love to see neighborhood-to-neighborhood, ISP-to-ISP comparisons of Internet connectivity longevity in the event of power outages.
