Does anyone know how this compares to consul?

I know Consul talks a lot about the gossip protocols that make it all work.. how does Cilium manage to sync state across its datacenters? I'm having a hard time finding good docs on this... are those still in progress?

you need to compare this to consul connect, which is hashicorp's service mesh software.

Interesting. I hadn’t really thought of this as a product while working on it but we have built something similar. Yours looks nice! I’m very interested to test it out.

I feel that this kind of competes with Tailscale and all the other connectivity providers all of sudden…
