I had a Nest thermostat three years ago and got rid of it when they deprecated their PERFECTLY WORKING Nest app in favor of their "WTF IS THIS SHIT" Google Home app, which, SURPRISE, didn't work with G-Suite accounts!
Settled on Ecobee for HVAC and Ring for everything else (did you know that Ring is an Amazon company? no? That's because Amazon doesn't mess with companies they acquire and try to shove everything into their Amazon Alexa app to double-down on failing corporate strategies).
The promo-driven development there really needs to stop.
