> Gas Station Jim Proposes To Pam: This iconic and one of the best Office scenes takes places at the real gas station at 2909 Los Feliz Boulevard in Atwater Village.

This one is incorrect. The commentary on the DVD talks about how they built a set just for this scene so that it could be raining during the proposal. They built a track so cars would go in circles as they filmed. They couldn’t reasonably time filming at an actual location to match the weather and they couldn’t just spray water on a real highway.

Here’s an article that explains it: https://www.insider.com/the-office-jim-and-pam-gas-station-p...

Ah, The 'American' Office.

Because truly no one willingly visits Slough

It isn't fit for humans now.

Was it ever?

Yes, the best one.

Indeed, original version is rubbish. Ironic for Gervais

The outside shots were always very jarring for me. I grew up in upstate NY (not that far from Scranton), and have lived in CA. It was always just so obvious that the outside scenes were filmed in CA that it disrupted the experience for me.

I wonder how the people who live in the residential house feel about suddenly being a fan destination. The people who bought the breaking bad house have had a rough time.

If they owned it before it was a filming location, they approved it and should realize what might come with it.

But if you bought it afterwards, I'd hope it was disclosed.

I'd lean into it myself and try to get some money out of it.

Sell pizzas for throwing onto the roof and whatnot

I live close to Pickwick’s / Poor Richard’s Pub and my friend would always want to meet there for a beer. It’s a fine place, but with the amount of options in LA I figured he was an Office fan but after a few visits I asked him and he said “I’ve never really watched that show. Why do you ask?”

It made me laugh. I guess I’ve seen too many super The Office fans to just assume he liked this odd little pub on Ventura.

I recently learned about https://theofficeexperience.com/ and I think is an awesome concept. Hope to see other cities soon
