I happen to use feedly[1] as RSS feed reader since almost years now but haven't looked at it since a long time. Today, I found that the "popularity metrics" it usually showed around each link has disappeared.

TBH that metric was about the only reason I used that app for. Being a coder, I can build an XML feed reader myself for the domains I've curated but this popularity metric was the USP. Have they stopped it altogether? Is there some other API or something on the web (preferably free) where I can find this popularity metric?
