I found the article really lacking. If you follow the details back, you'll find https://californiaglobe.com/articles/documents-request-on-my... with the documents embedded. The emails starting on page 11 changed my understanding from "this is serious" to "a guy tries to move bankrupt company's equipment into a warehouse and keep everything alive using 2 very fresh assistants who don't understand that bio safety regulation exists". Still bad, but not quite what I imagined from the linked article.
