Is WebUI for classical interaction(clicking buttons to navigate, displaying text and images) still an unsolved problem?

Are there good reasons to have many more libraries and frameworks? Wouldn't be possible to have a fresh or some specific look by simply modifying an established one?


While this looks good it does still look quite bootstrappy. I wish someone makes something which actually looks clean and well designed UI components. I think radix ui and shadcn comes closest.


Author here. I agree. I designed a17t awhile ago (I think nearly four years ago now?) and it’s due for a refresh. I think it has the potential to be excellent but it’s not there yet.


Yes it does have the right components. Something which looks fresh but different from the rest would be really useful.
