A possible first use of CAM/CAD [pdf] (hal.science)

This paper discusses Boeing's early use of CAM and CAD in the 50s and 60s. If you didn't know, CAM stands for Computer Aided Manufacturing, and CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. Together, the two are the basis of much of "engineering with computers", and the folks at Boeing were some of the first to do it.

A relative of mine worked at Boeing during this era and knew multiple people mentioned in this paper. I thought others here might like this insight into computing and machining history.
