This article was very uninformative for the subject / claim it's making. I found https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/05/05/glasses-e... to be a much better read, recently written, on essentially the same subject, for anyone who's interested.

TL;DR there's a fairly significant correlation with white collar work and corrective lenses.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5382686/ looks like an interesting, more robust study on statistical correlations between Myopia and IQ, but I haven't read the whole thing yet
