As a counterpoint, that's kinda my personal definition. I don't think of calories, carbs, fats when I think about "nutritional value."

A related phrase is "empty calories," which I define as foods with no vitamins or minerals, but plenty of carbs.

I don't think it means you're wrong, you're just ignoring a common use.
