Using the archive link provided in these comments shows that the rest is just "the MacBook Air is just too good why would you buy the Pro" as if that's a problem. The MacBook Air is the right computer for a lot more people than the MacBook Pro and that's been the case for years. There's no there there, as they say.

MacBook Pro has:

1. More ports

2. More Max Memory

3. Higher-performing processors available

If you don't need that, and a lot of people don't, then a MacBook Air is an excellent machine. As you say, that's been the case for years now.
