Ironically yes. Deporting illegal immigrants back to their home countries is the proper state. Democrats importing an underclass of less than legal humans is nothing new to the US.

I doubt if it ever really was true to the fullest extent ever. I do think that America did it better that most other counties on earth, but my view is that ‘Democracy’ as is generally practiced is a form of oligarchy, a sophisticated one at that, where common people have the illusion of choosing the laws and leaders they like.
